What causes ant infestations?
Ant infestations are typically caused by the search for food, water, and shelter. Ants enter homes looking for accessible food sources, such as crumbs, spills, or improperly stored food. Moisture is another attractant, with ants often being drawn to areas with water leaks or high humidity, such as kitchens, bathrooms, and basements. Additionally, ants seek shelter in small cracks and crevices in walls, foundations, and around windows and doors. Poor sanitation, easy access points, and favorable environmental conditions inside and outside the home can contribute to ant infestations.
How do I get rid of an ant infestation?
To get rid of an ant infestation, start by identifying the source of the ants, such as entry points and trails, to understand what is attracting them. Keep your home clean by regularly wiping down surfaces, sweeping floors, and storing food in airtight containers to remove food crumbs, spills, and garbage promptly. Block entry points by sealing cracks and crevices in walls, windows, doors, and foundations with caulk or weather stripping. Reduce humidity and fix any water leaks in areas like kitchens, bathrooms, and basements to make your home less attractive to ants. Set up ant bait stations near the trails and entry points; ants will carry the bait back to their colony, helping to control the entire colony over time. Why am I seeing more pest activity after my initial pest control service?
The initial treatment is a flushing treatment. While it can reduce activity levels, it also draws pests out so we can target them more effectively at your subsequent treatment.

What happens if I’m still seeing pests after a pest control treatment?
It’s normal for pests to return. That’s why, under our plans, you can contact us after a standard treatment if you’re still seeing pests, and we will re-service your property at no additional cost. We are always here to help.
